Milka is temporarily closed in April. We are excited to welcome you back in summer season with new ideas and replenished energies. The hotel will open on April 27th and the restuarant on May 1st.
Milka is a unique boutique experience in the heart of the Julian Alps. This pristine Alpine backdrop was an opportunity for the team of enthusiastic young professionals to take on the challenge of creating and sharing the finest encounter with Slovene cuisine & culture.
Our collective experiences have been harnessed around the world and are expressed through our unique take on design, gastronomy & service.

Welcome to Milka
Inspiration for our food took root in the local environment. A lot of thought went into designing each dish, to ensure every bite is a delectable memory.
Zelo lepa in izbrano opremljena soba s krasnim pogledom na jezero in okoliške gore.Bogat in okusen zajtrk. Osebje je izredno prijazno.
A very nice and carefully furnished room with a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Rich and tasty breakfast. The staff is extremely friendly.
It was outstanding in ALL areas. We have never been to a boutique hotel with such amazing attention to detail. The owner and staff were exceptional. The room, the food, location – every single detail. The Michelin Star restaurant experience was incredible. One afternoon we got to enjoy “Sip and Savor” on their terrace looking out at the Julian Alps, with specially crafted cocktails. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be coming back.
Bilo je izjemno na VSEH področjih. Še nikoli nismo bili v butičnem hotelu s tako neverjetno pozornostjo do podrobnosti. Lastniki in osebje so bili izjemni. Soba, hrana, lokacija – vsaka podrobnost. Izkušnja restavracije z Michelinovo zvezdico je bila neverjetna. Nekega popoldneva smo uživali v »Sip and Savor« na njihovi terasi s pogledom na Julijske Alpe, s posebej izdelanimi koktajli. Toplo priporočam ta hotel in še se bomo vrnili.
As a well travelled person, i can say: this is one of the best and nicest hotels I have ever stayed in! The garden suite was amazing (zen terrace and jacuzzi) and the views are spectacular! But what really made a difference was the very attentive and truly welcoming staff! So friendly and genuine!

Kot oseba, ki je veliko potovala, lahko rečem: to je eden najboljših in najlepših hotelov, v katerih sem kdaj bivala! Garden suita je bila neverjetna (zen terasa in jacuzzi) in razgledi so spektakularni! Toda tisto, kar je resnično naredilo razliko, je bilo zelo pozorno in resnično prijazno osebje! Tako prijazni in pristni!
Tega hotela ne morem dovolj priporočiti!
A truly fantastic stay with service, F&B and room hardware delivered to the very highest international standard, in a truly privileged and spectacular setting. It’s hard to think what more you could ask for in a luxury boutique hotel!
Resnično fantastično bivanje s storitvami, hrano in pijačo ter sobno strojno opremo, ki je na voljo po najvišjih mednarodnih standardih, v resnično privilegiranem in spektakularnem okolju. Težko si je zamisliti, kaj več bi si lahko želeli od luksuznega butičnega hotela!
The architecture of the hotel, the decoration of the rooms, the small details, the gourmet breakfast with local products, the view of the lake and the mountains, the restaurant, and the service make it an incredible experience.
Arhitektura hotela, dekoracija sob, majhni detajli, gurmanski zajtrk z lokalnimi izdelki, pogled na jezero in gore, restavracija in postrežba naredijo to neverjetno doživetje.
Milka is as beautiful, friendly, comfortable, cozy and homy as a little boutique hotel/restaurant can get. A true gem in Slovenia with feel-good-rooms and immaculate service. The restaurant fully deserves the Michelin stars and the overall quality of the kitchen under Chef David Žefran surpasses any Michelin evaluation. Not only the striking dinner menu with regionally sourced ingredients but also the breakfast of the hotel served by the same kitchen is a proof. Their breakfast omelette with herbs was the very best we had anywhere. It looks like a detail but it is a profound sign of the degree of love, ethics and perfection a restaurant nourishes in its métier.
Milka je tako lepa, prijazna, udobna, prijetna in domača, kot jo lahko dobi majhen butični hotel/restavracija. Pravi biser v Sloveniji s sobami za dobro počutje in brezhibno postrežbo. Restavracija si popolnoma zasluži Michelinove zvezdice in splošna kakovost kuhinje pod vodstvom chefa Davida Žefrana presega vse Michelinove ocene. Dokaz ni le osupljiv večerni meni z regionalnimi sestavinami, ampak tudi hotelski zajtrk, ki ga streže ista kuhinja. Njihova omleta za zajtrk z zelišči je bila najboljša, kar smo jih kjerkoli jedli. Videti je kot detajl, vendar je globok znak stopnje ljubezni, etike in popolnosti, ki jo restavracija neguje v svojem poslu.
This was our best hospitality experience so far. Beautiful, cozy, spacious and useful rooms, food (and wine) and service was incredible, staff is very kind, knowledgeable and very friendly. The hotel is so beautiful, and offers stunning lake views. Absolutely unforgettable experience. Thank you❤️
To je bila naša najboljša izkušnja doslej. Lepe, udobne, prostorne in uporabne sobe, hrana (in vino) in postrežba sta bili neverjetni, osebje je zelo strokovno in zelo prijazno. Hotel je tako lep in ponuja čudovit razgled na jezero. Absolutno nepozabno doživetje. Hvala ❤️
We had a wonderful time at Milka. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer. The service provided by Daniella and her colleagues was superb, the hotel itself was lovely and the views from our room were spectacular. We ate in the restaurant and it was one of the best restaurant meals my wife and I have enjoyed, both food and service were of the highest quality. The breakfast was also very good. I would not hesitate to recommend Milka and hope to return at some point.
V Milki smo se imeli čudovito. Edino obžalovali smo, da nismo mogli ostati dlje. Storitve, ki so jih nudili Daniella in njeni sodelavci, so bile odlične, sam hotel je bil čudovit in razgledi iz naše sobe so bili spektakularni. Jedli smo v restavraciji in to je bil eden najboljših restavracijskih obrokov, v katerih sva uživala z ženo, tako hrana kot postrežba sta bili najvišje kakovosti. Tudi zajtrk je bil zelo dober. Brez oklevanja priporočam Milko in upam, da se kdaj vrnem.
Izredne pohvale si zasluži celotno osebje z vodjo hotela na čelu. So nadvse prijazni, topli, prisrčni, maksimalno se posvetijo vsakemu gostu posebej. Hotel me je že na prvi pogled osvojil s svojo kombinacijo modernega in naravnega, okolju prijaznega stila ter s prefinjenim okusom za podrobnosti. Hrana je absolutno božanska, pripravljena z veliko mero kulinaričnega znanja. Celoten koncept hotela z ekipo vred je zares na visokem nivoju. Zame osebno najboljši hotel v Kranjski Gori, vreden vsakega centa. Definitivno priporočam, jaz pa jih ob prvi priliki spet obiščem!
The entire staff, led by the hotel manager, deserves special praise. They are extremely friendly, warm, cordial, and dedicate themselves to each guest individually. The hotel won me over at first glance with its combination of modern and natural, environmentally friendly style and refined taste for details. The food is absolutely divine, prepared with a great deal of culinary knowledge. The whole concept of the hotel with the team is really at a high level. For me personally, the best hotel in Kranjska Gora, worth every cent. I definitely recommend it, and I will visit them again at the first opportunity!
The Milka was a charming place overlooking Lake Jasna. The view from the room and breakfast table was breathtaking. Hotel amenities were complete. The staff made us felt at home and was always on hand if we had any questions. Will definitely be a destination we would want to return to again and again.
Milka je bila očarljivo mesto s pogledom na jezero Jasna. Pogled iz sobe in zajtrkovalne mize je bil osupljiv. Hotelska ponudba je bila popolna. Osebje je poskrbelo, da smo se počutili kot doma in nam je bilo vedno na voljo, če smo imeli kakršna koli vprašanja. Vsekakor bo to destinacija, kamor se bomo radi vračali znova in znova.
The fact that we are in this breathtakingly preserved environment shows the care of previous generations. Our task is to keep up the good work for those who come after us. Thus the care for people and the planet goes beyond just an idea.
